Zemfira to perform in Kazakhstan this summer

The debut album "Zemfira", released in 1999, had the effect of an exploding bomb. The songs "AIDS", "Arivederchi", "Romashki" instantly became hits, sounded from every radio and brought Zemfira all-Russian fame. The album was sold in huge quantities and received many awards, and the artist herself moved to Moscow from her native Ufa forever to devote herself entirely to art. At the dawn of her career, she was understandable to both rock and pop music lovers, however, her music is not traditional rock, not a bard song, and not women's romances. Zemfira's work is not just a set of songs, it is a whole musical cosmos in which various genres, styles and moods are intertwined.

After the resounding success of her debut album, Zemfira continued to work actively, releasing one album after another. The second breakthrough was the disc "Forgive me, my love" (2000). The album consolidated Zemfira's success and demonstrated her musical growth. The songs "Iskala", "Want?" and "London" have become real anthems of the generation. She does not release albums every year, but her fans still faithfully and obediently await the release of new records. The third collection was released two years later "Fourteen weeks of silence" (2002). This is a much more mature and experimental album, in which Zemfira moved away from her usual sound and tried herself in new genres, in particular in electronic music. The recording of the album took place during 2001-2002 in collaboration with the musicians of the group "Mumiy Troll" Yuri Tsaler and Oleg Pungin, as well as sound producer Andrey Samsonov. The album is made in the genre of guitar rock music, but the record also includes such styles of music as jazz, blues, trip-hop and rock and roll. The record received an award at the first Muz-TV award in the category "Best Album", it also had great commercial success in Russia and the CIS countries.

"Vendetta" (2005) is an album recorded in collaboration with Igor Vdovin, which was distinguished by a tougher and more uncompromising sound. One of the creators and vocalist of the first lineup of the group "Leningrad" also co-authored the soundtrack to Renata Litvinova's film "Goddess: How I Fell in Love". In her fourth studio album, Zemfira expanded the boundaries of her sound, moving away from fundamental rock and adding elements of trip-hop, techno and even disco to the tracks.

"Thank you" (2007) was unexpectedly filled with bright and lyrical songs reflecting a new stage in the singer's life.

"Live in your head" (2013) became one of the most discussed and successful in Zemfira's discography.

"Borderline" (2021) was released after a very long break, demonstrating that Zemfira is still relevant and in demand.

The latest disc to date, "Zemfira from Luka" (2022), consists of four songs and was created in Paris together with her nephew Artur. Zemfira has now created a band with him and promises to release a new full-length studio album in the near future.
